The Z06 carries the prized reputation as being the lightest of all Corvette models, and is equipped with the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced - The 7.0L V8 LS7. The engine is rated at 505 hp (377 kW) at 6,300 rpm and 470 lb⋅ft (637 N⋅m) of torque at at 4,800 rpm.
Notable features include a dry sump oiling system, a rarity for USDM factory delivered vehicles, and carbon fiber front fenders to reduce weight.
