Vehicle Details
The VW Golf Mk6 design was based on the existing Mk5 platform and introduced a range of range of drivetrain options, in particular the GTI variant has a significant performance jump up to 150kW from the 2.0L 4-cylinder, and numerous cosmetic changes to aid aerodynamics, fuel efficiency and appearance.
The Mk7 generation was introduced in 2012, upping power to 154kW with an optional performance pack raising output to 162kW via the third generation EA888 motor.
The iconic GTI platform is without a doubt one of Europe's, and in recent years increasingly the world's most accessible and popular platform for modifications with an extensive range of aftermarket parts and support.
